< Back NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician Next > Get In Touch NCATT AET Avionics Electronics Technician The Federal Aviation Administration has formally recognized ASTM’s National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Technologies (NCATT) Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification as equivalent to formal Avionics Technician training when showing eligibility for earning a repairman certificate. The NCATT AET certification examination is open to all individuals. In addition to completing the AET certification, individuals must complete the following ASTM NCATT endorsements: Autonomous Navigation Systems ( ANS ) Dependent Navigation Systems ( DNS ) Onboard Communications and Safety Systems ( OCS ) Radio Communication Systems ( RCS ) *Endorsements needs AET certification and cost $200 each. *NCATT AET and Endorsement are self-study, Instructors are available for a rate of $60 an hour. Ask for an Instructor! Information for Taking Exams 1. Register for an exam on the website: • ASTM NCATT exams, click this link: https://www.spacetec.us/register-for-a-cts-certification-exam/ 2. Once successful on an exam, your certificate and congratulatory letter will be emailed to you and your ID card will be mailed to the address you provided on our website. Take the NCATT exam here: https://ondemand.questionmark.com/home/400305/user Student completing the exam, will see their score immediately. If successful, they will receive their certificate via email and their ID card will be mailed to them. The passing score is 73%. Our course focuses on teaching the proper techniques for installation of electronic equipment for navigation and communication systems of an aircraft. The Program will cover topics such as: Electronic navigation instruments and communication, technical education, aviation safety, quality control, human factor, and the newest aviation technology known as Next Generation.
